Grinder Holders was created by Geno
My friend Kevin was here today. We did a lot of little things for each other then after lunch we decided to make the bar for the grinder holders we both had for awhile. It ended up being easy, we cut a piece of Fastenal upright angle 4' long that can be bolted right to a bench like the ones in the shop, or mounted to a wall, board or 2 by whatever under a regular work bench. The holes in the angle line up with the holes in the holder so they can be moved around anytime. The big thing is he can leave the handles in now. Where he is strapped for space he usually takes them out, I use mine so much I leave them in.
They holders aren't straight in the pics because there's only 1 loose nylock on the back holding them on now to play with spacing. There's plenty of room to move them around in case some have a little longer handle. Most handles here only need 3 open holes between each bracket with the handle on one of them needs 4 hole spacing. It was a quick easy job but one more thing off the list is always good.
Kevin is putting his on a work bench, not sure where mine are going, I'll figure that out next week.

Had a little time to finish up the grinder rack today. The bolts are 1/2 x 9" long for stability and to drop the rack down. I used the bolt heads to hold it up and level along with 2 corner magnets on the bottom. After it was welded I just cut the bolt heads off and smoothed everything up. Taking 2 nuts and washers off removes the whole thing. Before this some of the grinders were kept in a roll around with doors so one of the main reasons this was built was not only for space, but so I didn't forget the other ones that would make a job quicker and easier.
There are still others with things like concrete, diamond, and other wheels but they don't get used enough to warrant keeping them out. Then there's the air grinders but they're all in the top toolbox drawer where I'm at all the time.
The nicest thing is they are all below the bench so they will never get in the way, and I can still see them all. Anyone could do this with just angle iron and drilling holes in it. I used the Fastenal uprights because I have plenty of them and the holes happen to line up with the holders making everything easier and adjustable.
