We did this last Sat on my friend Kevin's Kubota. He has a lot of attachments and the tractor came with a quick attach so we made it where it is electric and can be done without getting off the tractor.
We tapped into the factory pivot mount at the bottom of the handle to do the work, the actuator and switch came from Amazon. Less than $100.00 investment in parts and steel.
The steel arms we made are 1/4" x 2" x 8 1/2" long. They were punched on the iron worker at 15/16" on the lever end, and 2 5/16" holes for the bracket. We made a bushing in the arm end so it can swivel and that's pretty much it. Not to bad to do. We had some trouble with the actuator pushing out on the left side from all the leverage and play in the joints when latching so we put a piece of 1/4" steel on the left side to stop that (last pic on left side).
Kevin will take it back apart and paint everything and make it look nice sometime this week.
