Big Sale Is On - UPDATED 03-36-26
The Big Sale is on but not like originally planned, it is a by appointment type of thing now. Be sure to call before you come to make sure the day isn't already full with peeps scheduled to come in, and make sure what you want is still available.

I went over and wandered around in the store today. The main building is all done minus coating the floor, they got it all sanded and smooth this morning and were cleaning up the dust. The head guy said it should be open in 2-3 weeks.

I think they may be done with the building for now. They loaded up all of the trackhoes, skid steers, lift, etc and took them away today. I've been taking pics of the progress from my hill with a zoom like the 1st pic, it's more like the 2nd pic I took while getting the mail today with no zoom and a lot bigger in person. I guess they'll start bringing in shelves and such now.

It's been pretty quiet across the street until today. They did get the signs up this afternoon.

Still been quiet over there until today. Most of the snow is gone and it's a little warmer so they striped the parking lot today. The parking spaces, handicap zones and entrance/exit arrows are all done.
Maybe they'll get some food in there soon, I'm running low on Cheetos and have too much going on to leave the shop for now.

Last night around 10PM semis were showing up with freezer + fridge cases and a few other little things for the new store. I went out this morning and stopped over there to see the main guy overseeing all of this (Doug) and he said he needed to find someone to take away all of the pallets new stuff was coming in on. Literally tons and tons of new pallets that would be coming in for displays, counters, food, and everything else they sell. I know peeps that will take them to use or for firewood, and some I can use so I told him I would take them and he can keep bringing them until I tell him to stop and they won't be in his way. He said great and they brought the ones they have empty so far this afternoon. They even cut the really long ones up before bringing them over today and I'll be using the pieces on the pallet in the shop for firewood. No nails in those so they are perfect. Best of all is they're all free.
The cut up ones on the left are 4' wide, have 4x4 runners, 1-1/2 x 9" solid tops, all new dry poplar. I'll keep a few on the right that are 36 x 32" that come in handy around here for small spaces. They are all so heavy that they have no bottom braces so they are flip stacked. There are 24 pallets on the right pallet pick alone. It will make things easy and easy is good...
If anyone wants some just give me a call and you can have them. I would never be able to find a home for all of them and will have to tell them to stop bring them eventually anyway .

Got all the small pieces stacked up in the shop then brought in the pallet full of the cut up pallets. I got all the metal corners off and got a really nice pile of exterior screws too, I'm keeping that stuff. The cut up pallets are on another pallet and ready to go, someone is picking all of that up tomorrow and my solid pallet is free and ready for more. There's a lot of really nice wood in those.

It's been quiet again over there for a few weeks until yesterday. There are lots of peeps and 9 vehicles over there this morning, semis are going in and out unloading what I think are prob displays and shelving. More pallets for me lol.

End of last week and this morning they are bringing in the stuff to stock the store. Kevin was here Sat and we went over and took a look over there on the way back from lunch. All the displays are up and product trucks are rolling in and out all day. Lots of peeps are in there putting things on the shelves.

This may be my last post in here for a bit. The state will be putting in a turning lane on the opposite side of the road for traffic headed South (right side of all the pics) in the future. I think they're waiting for the blacktop plants to reopen.
As for now they opened up this morning. Everything I need is just a walk right across the street if need be.
