Big Sale Is On - UPDATED 03-26-26

The Big Sale is on but not like originally planned, it is a by appointment type of thing now. Be sure to call before you come to make sure the day isn't already full with peeps scheduled to come in, and make sure what you want is still available.

Yesterday was getting a complete exam in the next town over where I do most of my business, banking, groc shopping, etc and getting set up with a new chiropractor in the Humana network that's doing my Medicare stuff.  That all went well and I love the new Chiro place.

Our wise pain in the butt Governor closed most of the DMV's in the State years ago and now a lot of peeps have to travel (like me) to get a licensed renewed.  I tried to make an appt beginning of this month and everyone was already booked.  Way too many of them were closed and now it's a real mess...  You can get it done by walk in, 1st come 1st served.  Went to the closest DMV to get my license renewed early this morning and got right in but the eye test thingy was flashing and doing some weird stuff.  Because of that I couldn't get my license renewed.     Now I have to get a mandatory vision test done at some eye doctor place, (thanks to our wise pain in the but governor as well starting last year)..  I went to 4 eye places in that town and they were all booked up until after my license expired this month, some till next year.  I found a slot at Frankfort Regional Medical Center (in the Capital) and have an appt there this Thurs.  I may go downtown to the license center there and try my luck after that exam if all goes well...

After that I have another appt with the Chiro peeps this Friday.  Not having a lot of time to work from running around doing all the stuff that has to be done this month.  There's also all the changes due to the Medicare that I started on Oct 1st and getting preferred peeps in the Humana network to do all this stuff.  I'll be so glad when this is all over and things get back to normal.

Thanks Nappy.

Today was a super nice day after it warmed up after lunch.  I fixed one of the induction heater coils this morning.  It's just 10 gauge copper wire with insulation over it to keep the wire from touching what you're heating up and keeping the magnetic field working.  I can actually make my own now that I know how it's made.  I ordered 70 feet of high temp covering last week to fix the ones I have from now on.  Total repair bill on the one I fixed this morning was less than .25 cents , a lot better than $10 for a new one.

I also did a lot of parts clean up, blasting, pulling broken bolts out of a few things, putting more things away, and labeling more bins in the back this morning.  There were 7 more Onan coil triggers that had to be done manually in case the steam does damage to the electronics in them.   My neighbor came up after lunch and steam cleaned one of the 2 carts ready for steaming while I did more blasting.  I was only around 1-2 days from getting caught up on most of the blasting but now I have another cart to do.  Oh well, I can't complain with the hundreds of more good parts that will be around here.
